Ask questions and verify answers

Query workspace knowledge, focus on a document, and inspect the cited sources.

Ask a useful question

  1. Open the workspace that contains the relevant documents.
  2. Start a new chat or continue the current one.
  3. Ask a focused question and include the desired format, date range, or decision.
  4. To focus on a known document, type @ and select the exact document from the list.
  5. Send the question and wait while Zylox researches the workspace.

Document mentions select a specific occurrence, which matters when two files have the same name. Choose the entry that belongs to the right workspace and context.

Verify the answer

  1. Read the answer and note any uncertainty or missing information.
  2. Open Sources beneath the answer.
  3. Open the cited document in Zylox and compare the relevant evidence.
  4. Download the original only when your access allows it and you need that copy.
  5. Ask a follow-up when the evidence does not fully support the conclusion.

AI output can be incomplete or mistaken. Treat the linked source material—not the generated wording—as the evidence for important decisions.

When Zylox cannot find an answer

  • Check that the document has finished processing.
  • Confirm you are in the intended workspace.
  • Use the document's exact name or an @ mention.
  • Break a broad request into one question at a time.
  • Upload the missing approved source instead of asking Zylox to guess.
